Visit ARC

Inside Bjake Ingels´ world famous ski slope, there is a world class waste to energy plant. We offer a limited number of tours of the plant where you can learn more about waste management in Denmark.

ARC is a public utility company that handles almost all aspects of waste management i the danish capital area. We empty the bins, manage recycling stations, produce energy and make sure that hazardous waste is treated in an environmentally safe manner.

We offer a limited amount of tours for organisations, delegations and study groups interested in waste management. Tours can only be booked for groups of minimum of 8 to a maximum of 25 participants and must be booked through the booking calendar (link below). If no time slots are available, it means everything is booked.

A visit at ARC lasts about 2 hours and consists of a presentation on waste management and a tour of the Amager Bakke energy plant.

We recommend that you book your tour as early as possible. The calendar is often fully booked more than 3 months in advance. If there are no available time slots, it means everything is booked.

Commercial organisers (e.g. travel agencies or incomming) will be charged an administration fee of minimum DKK 3,900, including VAT. The final price depends on the number of participants on a tour – please contact us at  visit@a-r-c.dk

NB: In the event of a no-show, a fee of DKK 1000 will be charged. Visits must be cancelled no later than 24 hours before the event. To cancel a booking, please use the link in the e-mail confirmation or call us at +45 3268 9300 (8 AM to 4 PM)
